One Simple Question.
How can one increase Confidence in one's life !
No question mark because we do not ask this question much often to our own selves or to the world. It is a thing of wonder. Even if one wants to increase the confidence , there is no know-how , no GPS to guide. Take left from next red light and you will arrive at your destination aka confident self.This does not happen with us.Similarly , one cannot go to market place and ask for 5kg confidence for the job interview.
Taking the case of opposite, doubts are so natural to human mind.OR. Humans have developed a habit of being flooded with doubts. Well, it does not matter what is the real case but our priority should be the ability to change the current pattern of doubts and move towards confidence.
Self confidence & Self belief , two pillars of success are nowhere taught in our educational curriculum. Once we enter school , we are told to be positive , hardworking and confident.
But HOW ?
No matter the amount of books read and no matter , the amount of times one looks at the mirror and say - I am confident , in challenging times , nothing seems to help. Forget challenging times, one simple message might shake our peace of mind. Simple reason is mirror , books and motivational videos are external to our own self. They might help us in short run but in the longer run we have to find something inside us that helps us to blossom.
We came on the earth with breath. Our breath is unique to us and is an internal source for self management. It is super ironic to me how whenever we see an accident , we first of all check the pulse or we put the finger in front of nose ( simply because breath makes us truly alive ) or in north Indian households we commonly hear 'saansan likhi hui hein' ( The number of breaths are fixed ) yet we never focus or think about our own breath. We might give attention to people who pull us down but breath is always taken for granted.
I wonder when someone takes us for granted we feel bad , but what about feelings of our very own lifeline - our own breath.
Just Kidding.
We simply forget we are even breathing. As soon as we wake up we are busy in checking notifications and at night we are unable to sleep without checking notifications. In a day of 24 hours , we might not even focus on our breath for 24 seconds.
But we have the audacity to complain about life - its challenges & turbulence. Maybe we can learn how to tune ourselves with our own breath.
Maybe we can try it at least for once and then either of two will happen
1. We will be able to coordinate with our higher selves easily and number of complaints will reduce.
OR
2. We will at least gain the power to comment about own lives with truth in it.
Either of the two, it is a win win situation for us.
